At a time when the UK more widely, and our own local community, have experienced the crisis of pandemic it’s sometimes the less obvious (and occasionally less spoken about) issues that also matter. A lot.
Today, the overwhelming evidence demonstrates the nation has been in the grip of a mental health emergency. And it’s local community services that can make a difference. Record numbers of children and adults sought NHS help last year for problems such as anxiety, depression and eating disorders, or because they ended up in a mental health crisis. And it’s the under-18’s who have been suffering the most.
At LawnsOne, community has central position in our core values; it drives our day-to-day decision making, including who, as an organisation, we try to support. And we believe there’s never been a more important time to support the crucial work of the mental health charity Mind.
So this Summer we’re participating in the Vitality 10k and also donating 5% of sales for our Gift Certificates; both to raise funds for Mind’s work.
Mind believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They’ll listen, give support and advice, and fight your corner. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and they campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
This summer we’re doing our bit to raise funds
Thank you for your support.
