Website & Customer

Terms and Conditions

Effective from 1 January 2026

1. Our Service Commitment

At LawnsOne, we work in partnership with you to achieve the best possible results for your lawn. Our standards are guided by our values of Integrity, Community and Ambition — we aim to do the right thing, support one another, and improve continuously.

These terms exist to protect both you and us, and to ensure our team can deliver consistently high standards across every lawn we care for.

They explain how we work together and what each of us can expect.

2. The 7 Treatment, 5 Visit Programme™

2.1 Service Structure

Under this programme:

  • You will receive email notification approximately 2 weeks prior to your visit.
  • A reminder will be sent the day before service.
  • Some visits may include two treatments (for example, fertiliser and blanket weed control), which are separately chargeable but applied in one visit.
  • Spot weed treatments at subsequent visits are included free of charge, where conditions permit.

3. Appointments & Access

3.1 No Fixed Contract

There is no minimum term. You may cancel at any time by giving at least 2 working days’ notice prior to your scheduled visit.

If less than 2 working days’ notice is given, a charge of up to 75% of the scheduled treatment price may apply, reflecting route scheduling and operational costs.

3.2 Access to Your Lawn

Please ensure clear and safe access on your scheduled service day.

If we are unable to gain access, we will:

  1. Knock or ring
  1. Telephone
  1. Send a text message

If access still cannot be gained, the visit may be cancelled and rescheduled. A charge of up to 75% of the treatment price may apply, as our technicians operate on pre-planned routes.

If access is unavailable for three consecutive visits, we reserve the right to suspend services.

4. Preparing Your Lawn

4.1 Mowing

  • Please mow before all treatments except herbicide applications.
  • Lawns should not exceed 100mm in length prior to renovation.

If cutting is required and time allows, we may cut at £20 per 100m² (minimum 100m²).

If excessive growth prevents safe or effective treatment and rescheduling is required, up to 25% of the service cost may be charged.

4.2 Dog Fouling

To ensure safe and hygienic working conditions:

If more than 3 instances per 100m² are present, we may postpone treatment. A charge of up to 75% may apply if the visit cannot proceed.

4.3 Leaf Cover (Autumn/Winter Treatments)

If light leaf cover is present, we may clear it free of charge where time permits.

If substantial coverage prevents treatment:

  • We may clear at £20 per 100m² (minimum 100m²), or
  • Reschedule the visit, where a charge of up to 75% may apply.

5. Renovation Work – Underground Hazards

For renovation services involving mechanical penetration of soil:

You must clearly mark irrigation systems, cables, pipes, drainage, washing line bases or similar items.

While all reasonable care is taken, renovation involves machinery penetrating up to 150mm into the soil.

If hazards are not identified and treatment cannot proceed safely, the visit may be rescheduled and up to 25% of the renovation fee charged.

LawnsOne cannot accept liability for unmarked underground services.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Payment Due

Payment is due:

  • On the day of treatment for pay-as-you-go services, or
  • As agreed under subscription or direct debit arrangements.

Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs.

Where payment remains outstanding, we reserve the right to suspend future visits until the account is brought up to date.

6.2 Subscription Services & Early Cancellation

Where payment is spread across the year:

If cancellation occurs before completion of the annual service period:

  • Completed treatments will be recalculated at our standard published individual treatment rate at the time of cancellation.
  • Any outstanding balance will become payable.

7. Pricing & Adjustments

LawnsOne reserves the right to review and adjust pricing annually to reflect changes in labour, materials, fuel, regulatory requirements and operating costs.

We will provide reasonable notice of any changes.

8. Weather & Environmental Factors

Treatment effectiveness depends on environmental conditions.

We may postpone treatments where weather conditions make application unsuitable.

LawnsOne is not liable for reduced effectiveness where outcomes are impacted by:

  • Weather
  • Seasonal variation
  • Pest activity
  • Soil condition
  • Third-party interference
  • Customer maintenance practices

Nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Customer Maintenance Responsibilities

To achieve the best results, we recommend:

  • Mowing weekly (30–40mm height)
  • Watering when dry
  • Removing debris regularly
  • Informing us of concerns between visits (photos welcomed)

10. Guarantees

10.1 Renovation Guarantee

Autumn renovation and seeding are guaranteed. We will revisit in spring to address areas that have not germinated, free of charge.

10.2 Programme Guarantee

Our programme guarantee applies where:

  • The full paid treatment programme has been completed
  • The lawn has been appropriately watered
  • Mowing and general maintenance have been carried out

LawnsOne reserves the right to inspect and assess whether maintenance conditions have been met before applying guarantee remedies.

11. Respect & Conduct

We operate a culture of integrity and respect.

We do not tolerate:

  • Threatening behaviour
  • Discriminatory language
  • Abusive or aggressive conduct toward our team

Where such behaviour occurs, we reserve the right to withdraw services.

12. Waste Removal

For lawns under 500m², waste will be bagged and left for customer disposal.

For lawns over 500m², skip hire may be arranged at additional cost, with advance notice.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to this: LawnsOne’s total liability in relation to any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the treatment or service giving rise to the claim.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Suspension or Termination by LawnsOne

LawnsOne reserves the right to suspend or terminate services where:

  1. Payments remain outstanding;
  1. Access is repeatedly unavailable;
  1. Working conditions are unsafe;
  1. Conduct breaches our Respect & Conduct policy;
  1. These Terms are materially breached.

Where services are suspended or terminated, any completed treatments or charges incurred will remain payable.

We will always seek to resolve issues reasonably and professionally before taking such action.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between LawnsOne and the customer in relation to the services provided and supersede any prior discussions, representations or understandings relating to those services.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

We are committed to delivering high standards with integrity, professionalism and care — and we thank you for choosing LawnsOne.

  1. Gift certificates are valid for 12 months (365 days) from the date of purchase.
  1. Gift certificates are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  1. No change will be given; any remaining balance may be used against future services within the validity period.
  1. Gift certificates are refundable to the purchaser within 30 days of purchase, provided they have not been redeemed.
